Growing Up
Hello my name is Andrew (Drew) Anderson. Since I was born, I grew up working in the family business Anderson Coach & Travel, and have experienced a small bus touring company grow from 100 to 300 employees. I became an employee at age 12 and since then have worked almost every department in the office including accounting, marketing, finance, dispatch, and even worked in the shop on school bus and Coach repairs. I have also attended company meetings and have given speeches on tours before. I have an incredible amount of experience in the workplace and have also worked multiple other jobs including minor league referee, dishwasher, landscaping, bus inspector, entrepreneurship and many more.
College Years
I am currently following one of my many interests to become a marketing major through the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University. Along with my Spanish Minor I hope to someday achieve my dream of traveling the world while marketing my own brand internationally. During my freshman year I joined the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, and ever since then I have been exposed to numerous opportunities that otherwise I would not have known existed. Experience as homecoming chair, Greek Week, Greek Sing, numerous hours put into canning trips, canvassing trips and THON, multiple philanthropy events and fundraising ideas, networking with alumni, socializing with other organizations, traveling the state for leadership opportunities and all of this while learning to balance my social life and school work.
Other College Involvement
I have also joined numerous clubs including the Blue and White Society, the Penn State Marketing Association, Greek Sing overall and Intramural sports including soccer, track and softball. Through the Penn State Marketing Association I have developed my leadership skills to lead a team to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Through our team we have come up with fundraising ideas such as bake sales and obstacle courses for ROTC. Through my Fraternity I have always been involved with mostly everything going on around campus, and joining these other clubs have opened me up to multiple opportunities to expand my skills, knowledge and leadership.
