What I've Done
I've traveled the world, been involved in numerous charities, organizations and community service, but most of all I like to have fun wherever I go. I've hunted in Africa, studied in Spain and toured all of Italy and I still have a lot of experiences I hope to enjoy in my near future.
Studying Abroad in Spain
I was fortunate enough to have the immaculate experience of studying abroad in Seville, Spain from May to July 2014. To help develop my Spanish speaking ability I got to immerse myself in the Spanish Culture to learn a new lifestyle and demographic. My time there did not come easy at first because I wasn't the strongest Spanish speaker to begin with, but after hard work and forcing myself to get out of my comfort zone I was able to make connections with a lot of great people and I was finally leading the conversation. I may have only been there for a short time, but the values I learned and the cultural understanding that I now possess is what made me want to travel the world and meet new people as an international marketer.

Penn State Dance Marathon
Since 1977 Penn State has done the annual dance marathon "THON" that has now become the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON has raised over $127 million for the Four Diamonds Fund that goes directly to Hershey Children's Hospital to help support families and kids battling with the never ending fight of pediatric cancer. Since my freshman year I have been obsessed with this great cause, and wanted to be a part of it as much as I could. This included going on numerous canning and pledge-booking trips to raise money by asking others for their spare change. Then after countless efforts of raising money, 10,000 students including myself dance in the Bryce Jordan Center for 46 hours straight to give these struggling families and kids one of the greatest days of their lives. Being apart of THON has really opened my eyes to how fortunate I have been in my life, and has taught me that one of the greatest feelings in life is giving back to others less fortunate than you.
